Prominent Boston chef, Joanne Chang has her parents visiting from South Korea to celebrate her father's birthday. Together with Amy Traverso, they go shopping in Boston's Chinatown for ingredients to make her mother's Pork and Chive Potstickers. And it's all narrated from the dinner table with a cyclical use of flashbacks.
